Our senior staff is highly qualified and aims to provide a rewarding educational environment for youth and adult campers. We also have native English and Turkish speaking part-time counselors who are currently enrolled in universities or have recently graduated.


SCOTT WOODHAM  (Director)

Over 30 years of experience in public relations, marketing, journalism and management. Former U.S Air Force officer. B.A. in Journalism from San Jose State University, California. M.S. in Management.


MEVLÜDE KARADAĞ  (Operations Manager)
Graduated from Middle East Technical University with a B.S in Chemistry. Has a Master’s degree in Nuclear Science and PHD in Nuclear Science. Taught high school science classes for 9 years before joining Space Camp Turkey in 1999, prior to its opening in June 2000.


BETH MITCHELL-GENCEL (International Programs Manager)
Started working for Space Camp Alabama in 1996 as a counselor for two years after graduating from the University of Louisville with a B.S in Political Science. In 1999, worked at Space Camp California in a managerial role. In 2000, was promoted to the position of U.S Space Camp Foundation Representative to help Space Camp Turkey with its opening. Assumed present position in January 2007.


ÖZLEM ELİÇEVİK  (Deputy Operations Manager)
Responsible for training new counselors, supervising daily camp operations and attending to the needs of camp participants. Özlem graduated from Izmir’s Ege University with a B.S. in Astronomy and joined Space Camp Turkey in 1999.


TOLGA YILDIRIM  (Global Friendship Through Space Education Program Manager)
Tolga is responsible for managing the Global Friendship Through Space Education program which involves partnering international schools in science projects and collaborating with NASA. Tolga has a B.S. in Astronomy and Space Sciences from Ege University. He worked for Space Camp Turkey from 2000-2002 as a mission director.


EMRE ADAY (Domestic Marketing and PR Manager)
Emre is responsible for space camp marketing and public relations in Turkey.  He worked for Space Camp Turkey as a counselor from 2000-2005. Emre has a B.S. in Astronomy and Space Sciences from Ege University and Executive MBA degree from Izmir University of Economics.
