SEV (Saglik Egitim Vakfi) Schools from Tarsus, Istanbul and Izmir met at Space Camp Turkey for a Customized Outer Space Adventure Program, November 21-23. A total of 105 students from the three school branches mixed with one other to form teams. Students experienced simulators, learned about space history and successfully completed a simulated space mission.
Seran Dumlu, a science and technology teacher from Izmir said, “since there is an Earth and Cosmos subject taught to the 7th grades at SEV Schools. We attend Space Camp Turkey to enrich our class instruction.”
“The SCT operations department designs a customized program for us and through the activities our students can improve their teamwork, communication and problem solving. Space Camp Turkey also provides trustworthy health care, security, accommodations and food services. We have been regularly attending this special program since 2005 and our students are always happy,” explained Dumlu.
