Space Camp Turkey is now part of the COMENIUS -Lifelong Learning and Culture Program, working on a European Union project entitled Key Technology, Training and Teamwork (Key TTT). "The project's intention is to prepare new training methodology, teacher proficiency courses and a teacher`s manual in order to improve teaching skills in science and math." explained Scott A. Woodham, Space Camp Turkey Director of International Marketing.
Space Camp Turkey`s EU Local Project Coordinator, Tolga Yildirim and SCT`s Operations Manager, Mevlude Karadag attended the first meeting held in Sofia, Bulgaria from January 7-11, which focused on planning for the teacher training implementation in 2011. Mr. Yildirim explained, "this project will allow Space Camp Turkey to become more recognized by the EU community and will hopefully be a stepping stone for future EU projects."
Space Camp Turkey will organize project implementation activities for Turkey and develop new methodologies for training teachers from Bulgaria, Poland, Italy and Norway - the other Key TTT project partners.
